A Força da Forma discusses the identity of Portuguese design and its various intersections with other social and institutional formats. In a critical reflection on the diffusion of graphic forms by political regimes, the market and technology, Mário Moura reveals how design’s discourse is never solely visual. Stemming from the namesake exhibition, these historiographic reports trace a broad, sometimes unexpected, path from design practices during the Estado Novo to dialogue with architecture or even comics.
